Tinworks Art, Bozeman, Montana

Through its Regional Regranting partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Beyond the Mountains Fund is committed to centering Montana-based artists from diverse backgrounds encouraging risk-taking, and providing the resources and visibility that artists need to thrive.

Through our program, the Beyond the Mountains Fund, Tinworks Art will provide Montana-based artists resources to pursue independent, public-facing projects that encourage experimentation and collaboration. The program will award one $10,000 grant and ten $5,000 grants through an open call annually from August to September to support a range of visual arts projects. Prioritizing Indigenous, emerging, mid-career, and established artists exploring new directions, the program will strengthen Montana’s arts ecosystem, foster community connections, and expands the visibility and impact of artists’ work. The goal of this program is to directly support artists who innovate and take risks in areas and practices that are often difficult to fund through traditional channels.

Partnering with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts as a Regional Regranting partner, this fund will provide meaningful opportunities for local artists, invest in resources that strengthen and expand their creative practice, and broaden the reach of their work to new audiences. This partnership ensures that artists are not only visible but are recognized as vital contributors to the cultural life of Bozeman, the state of Montana, and the greater Mountain West
